I rolled out Acrobat Sign at an energy group and supported it for years in a specialist retailer's order processing.

How I use Acrobat Sign
Send automatically
The PDF is created from a Word template, recipients and signing order are set, and a flow sends it for signature - without copying and uploading.
Track the status
Signature, rejection, or expiration are reported automatically and recorded on the case. Reminders go out without anyone having to remember.
Filing and evidence
The signed document and the audit report are automatically stored in SharePoint with the correct case.
Templates and web forms
Form fields, required entries, reusable templates, and web forms for signatures that are needed again and again.

For almost five years, I developed the central order processing system for a fireplace and stove retailer with several companies and locations, based on SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps, and I still support it today. Quotes with digital signatures, invoices and payment reminders via sevDesk, Planner tasks, customer surveys with Forms, Power BI, and a mobile installation report on tablets all work together. The solution gave rise to the industry platform FLAMOX365.

Frequently asked questions
Is an electronic signature legally valid?
For many business documents, yes. The EU eIDAS Regulation distinguishes simple, advanced, and qualified electronic signatures with different evidentiary value. Which type you need for which document should be determined by your legal counsel - I implement it technically.
Do recipients need their own license?
No. Signers receive an email with a link and sign in the browser. Only the people in your company who send documents need licenses.
Does this also work from within a Power App?
Yes. The app uses a flow to send the document for signature, and the signature status then appears in the app.
