Migration Kit for the Power Platform.

Product language: German. An English edition is planned.

Systematically replace SharePoint workflows, InfoPath forms, Access databases, and Excel macros. The kit guides you from a complete inventory through a reasoned decision for each solution to a verified migration and the shutdown of the legacy solution. It includes Excel workbooks that automatically calculate dates, risk, and effort, Word templates, and a handbook covering deprecations of the recorded legacy solutions, with sources.

01When the kit pays off

Replace legacy solutions systematically, with a clear record.

In 2026, Microsoft shut down many proven technologies or ended their support. The kit gives your team a clear method: record, assess, decide, plan, and complete every migration with evidence of the outcome.

Microsoft has retired legacy features

SharePoint 2013 workflows, InfoPath in SharePoint Online, and SharePoint Add-ins no longer run. The kit shows what is affected and what comes first.

Servers and Office without support

SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019, Office 2016 to 2021: the solutions keep running, but without security updates. The kit makes the risk visible.

Nobody has the full picture

Solutions have grown over years, and the people who built them are often no longer there. The inventory puts everything into one list with a clear sequence.

Make quotes comparable

Inventory and migration plan describe exactly what is being migrated and how it will be accepted. Service providers can submit reliable quotes on this basis.

02The package

Six files, one well-organized project.

You receive a ZIP package with all files, ready to use immediately, without macros, and for all your company's own projects.

Handbook (PDF)

Procedure in seven steps, deprecations with sources, target technology per legacy solution, testing, cutover, and shutdown.

The most important sheets of the inventory workbook

  1. Inventoryup to 300 solutions; the workbook calculates date, status, risk, priority, size, and effort
  2. Target selectionfive questions per solution, a suggested course of action and target technology, and your own decision with a rationale
  3. Analysismetrics, solutions by type and course of action, a risk matrix, and the 15 most urgent solutions
  4. Wave planup to 8 waves with period, effort, and timeline
  5. Deprecations46 entries on deprecations and end of support by type and version, with sources and dates; you can add more entries

03How it works

In seven steps to a retired legacy solution.

Steps 1 to 4 apply to the entire project, and steps 5 to 7 apply to each solution being migrated. The workbooks calculate dates and risk and check the prerequisites for acceptance. The responsible person makes the acceptance decision.

  1. Record

Compile all legacy solutions in one list using Microsoft's tools, a file search, and a survey of the business units.

  2. Assess

Specify business importance, usage, and complexity. The workbook calculates date, status, risk, priority, and size.

  3. Determine the target

Five questions lead to one of six courses of action. For rebuilding and transfer, the workbook suggests the target technology.

  4. Plan

Enter person-days per size class, bundle solutions into waves, and create a migration plan for each solution.

  5. Implement and migrate data

Record the features of the legacy solution, map fields, migrate data, and reconcile it with counts, checksums, and spot checks.

  6. Test and accept

Derive test cases from the features and track defects. The workbook shows whether the solution is ready for acceptance.

  7. Cut over and shut down

Freeze the legacy solution, cut over, prepare a fallback, shut it down after a stable phase, and archive it.

04Deprecations

19 types of legacy solutions, all dates with sources.

What Microsoft or the respective vendor has shut down or no longer supports, by type and version, as of November 2026. The kit includes sources and dates, and you can add entries in the workbook. Here are the dates at a glance.

05A look inside

Migration targets for each type of legacy solution.

For each type, the handbook shows the usual target, the Microsoft tools, and what to watch out for. A decision tree with five questions identifies a course of action for each solution. Here is one section as it appears in the handbook.

08

InfoPath forms

Shut down in SharePoint OnlineEnd of support on SharePoint Server

Microsoft recommends Power Automate, Power Apps, or Microsoft Forms and does not provide a migration tool. Usually, a Power Automate flow replaces the process, and Power Apps, Microsoft Forms, or the list's default form handle data entry.

Depending on the form

  1. Customized list form: customize directly with Power Apps, or use the default form with conditionally visible fields
  2. Form library: list as the data foundation, plus a canvas app or list form
  3. Simple data entry, including external submissions: Microsoft Forms with a flow

Caution

Record processes behind the form, such as approvals, as a separate row in the inventory. The old XML files contain the data that you migrate or archive.

09Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Which legacy solutions is the kit suitable for?
For SharePoint 2010 and 2013 workflows, SharePoint Designer, Nintex, InfoPath forms, Access databases and Access web apps, Excel files with macros, SharePoint Add-ins, access via Azure ACS, and alerts, as well as older Power Platform solutions such as Dataverse for Teams, in SharePoint Online and on SharePoint Server. You record other systems as "Other solution" with a date you specify.
Does the kit build the new solutions?
No. The kit lets you plan the replacement and keep a verifiable record of it: inventory, decisions, sequencing, tests, acceptance, and shutdown. You build the new flows and apps yourself or with a service provider. For each type, the handbook shows which Microsoft tools help.
How current are the dates?
The dates have been checked against the stated sources from Microsoft or the respective vendor (as of November 2026). Entries without a fixed date are marked. Before important decisions, check the current status of the linked sources. You enter new dates yourself in the Deprecations sheet, and status and urgency are then recalculated.
Does the workbook specify the effort in person-days?
No, because the effort depends heavily on the company. You enter a range for each size class, and the workbook calculates the effort per solution and per wave. The sample workbook illustrates this with fictitious values.
Which programs do I need?
Microsoft Excel and Word 2016 or later or Microsoft 365 on Windows or macOS, or Excel for the web, plus a program for PDF files. A version that Microsoft still supports, such as Microsoft 365, is recommended. The workbooks contain no macros. The sheets are protected without a password so that formulas are not accidentally overwritten.
How many projects may I plan?
As many of your own as you like. The company license applies to all employees and other persons acting on behalf of the purchasing company; affiliated companies need their own license. For each solution being migrated, create a copy of the migration workbook and the migration plan.
May service providers use the kit with clients?
You may give service providers the documents you have filled out for your project, including to obtain a quote. Service providers may use the kit on behalf of the purchasing company for its own projects. Anyone who wants to use it as a consulting firm with clients needs a consultant license. It is available on request; just contact me.
Does the handbook replace licensing or legal advice?
No. It explains in general terms when premium licenses are required and refers to Microsoft's licensing guide. Clarify retention periods with the business unit and, if necessary, with those responsible for data protection or your legal advisers.
How do I receive the files and an invoice?
You buy through my sales partner Digistore24 (Digistore24 GmbH, Hildesheim, Germany). Digistore24 is your contractual partner for the purchase, receives the payment, and sends you the invoice by email. The VAT treatment depends on your company's registered office and the details provided during checkout. Immediately after payment, you receive the link to download the ZIP package. It is valid for 30 days and allows up to 10 downloads, so please save the files right after your purchase. For questions about payment and invoices, Digistore24 support will help; for questions about the content, I will.
